High River, meet Jim Graham. He’s been in our community for over 40 years. He served as a School Teacher, Principal and School Division District Supervisor before retiring. Now, he keeps busy as a grandpa to three kiddos and as a volunteer! (#funfact he’s been on a Town of High River Board/Committee for over 25 years!…..and that’s just one of many places he spends his time giving back.)
What’s your favourite thing about High River? “It’s a good community. I feel like I belong here. I love that you can walk around, you know people, they wave at you and it feels great.”
What do you feel most proud of in your life? “My kids. They’ve turned out to be good humans and contributors. I also loved my career in education.”
What skill would you like to learn (or bucket list item)? “I always said one day I would write a great Canadian novel…so there’s that. I would also like to draw.”
If you could help change something in High River what would it be? “I would love to see all of us working together more. Less people doing work on their own. Let’s collaborate.”
Thanks Jim for all you do!
